Try using an adjuvant with the pro active and that will take care of it.

Houttuynia, I can't stand the smell of it, Progreen will know what chemicals to use, good luck

  • it grows like ground elder coming up from the roots a chemical with 24D in it might be better but it will take several years to get rid of it and spray it several times a year as it appears

  • Anything with Triclopy in it should do the trick........ Blaster, Garlon.............. I got rid of huge areas of groundelder with just one application.

  • That Houttuynia is practically nuclear proof.Depending on the area to be covered ,might be better using a double layer of membrane against it.

  • Thank you all for your replys. ive ordered some sbk with the triclopyr i  will update with the results

  • Have applied the sbk to the Houttuynia 3 times at 8/9 day intervals and it seems to have vanished completely, can not believe its gone that easily, time will tell,

why not try a broad leaf herbicide weed killer.

  • An adjuvant in the tank mix. Possibly reduced volume spraying if allowed

  • I have also had great success using depitox. It even killed mairs tail very effectively which was a bit of a surprise
