I travel up to 15mins! Why would you want to travel 1.5hrs? If asked Todo that I'd say no or at least charge them for my travel time. On the rate you've previously mentioned that must really cut into your profit!
When I was a subie landscaper 17yrs ago I'd travel up for 2hrs for a £100 day rate or price which was normally over £200 or more. That was 17yrs ago....
My further away jobs tend to be specialist pruning that take at least a day or more.
For these I charge a day rate that includes travel time and costs....and are a bit more than £15 per hour! (Which is local maintenance work only) 😊
I to have a few specialist pruning garden's all ten mins from my house.
Glad to hear you're charging a bit more😉
😬😂
Our longest commute is 4 miles. We have been to a place 30 minutes away for a border design and plant job though and charged accrdingly for travel costs/time etc.
Wow that is a small radius!
........wait up.....are you doing it on a bicycle with one of those trailers? 🤔😂
We’re green but not that green 😀. LWB van , lucky to have clients we need so close to home. Only have 15 regulars and do design/planting jobs in other slots. So much money around here (South Warrington) that we don’t need to travel further
I travel upto 15 miles only for work
Our furthest travel is 24mile round trip. But that's the 2 of us there all day, weekly , all year round.
