Transplanting palm trees

Hi...Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about transplanting palm trees?  Bearing in mind I'm thinking of 5-6ft ones which were planted about 5 years ago.... here in Yorkshire.

Thanks, Melissa

  • Cordylines?

  • Funnily enough we too have to remove (possibly move) a palm(Trachycarpus - Pip) its about 12ft high and outgrown its environment, which is under a canopy.

  •  Trachycarpus I think Pip, like Colin's....
