I went through everything for a 2 acre lawn, covered in mature trees. A massive Billy Goat (just too heavy and slow), Tonne bags and leaf rakes with pick up grabs.... then I found the Agrifab tow behind leaf collecter - wow an endless task from about Sept to December went to a day in Oct and a day just before Christmas. As long as the leaves are dry it was totally fabulous. You have to get it adjusted correctly (a bit of a faff) - but other than that fab. Whizz over the main sections with the sweeper, then clear the slopes and bits you cant get to with the tractor by hand
Here's one of those reviews off You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEy4tq6wLGs . I ended up getting two, for two different gardens, it was easier to leave them in the garages at each, than fill the van with them - both were bought second had off our local FB marketplace
Thanks Adam, yes we're using a Billy goat and bulk bags. Painful!
Can't find any used agri fab and at £500 new seem overpriced.
Assume they aren't good if the leaves are wet?
Few Chinese made models around £250 eg Handy. Cobra etc anyone used one?
I spotted a little Westwood one for sale in Poole for £50 last night...I bet there will be loads when the leaves have fallen 😁
Just appeared on our local FB Marketplace https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/397281945785556/
