Is this the one you hate and tell people not to buy? :-)

        You miss understand me.
If you want to sell it it makes no difference to me.
I just found it amusing that you would advertise something on here after telling people not to buy one because they are rubbish:)
To Mark's question Personally I don't sell stuff I've bought new as it loses too much value.

          • Hi Tom, I would say it's valuable to leave your post and your response up... people can make their own minds up.

FWIW I was having a chat with my mower man recently about these twin blade toros and he rates them quite highly.  The only downside he mentioned was hitting an obstruction can cause quite a lot of damage if the blades go out of sync.  Thinking of getting one myself if I can justify the cost, I have some larger lawns not suitable for a ride on (plus I don't have the storage space) so these look quite a good compromise.

            What's the reserve ? :P

  • I feel sorry for those who have bought them, having owned 2 turf masters and a time master on loan. I sold them to fund 2 rideon-

    John deere X305r & X105

Great machines. On a site we cut and collect the Toros used to take 2 men 7 hours, now I can do it on my own with the JD x305r in 3!
  • No need to feel sorry for us Matt, we love our Timemaster, it does what is says on the label - saves time and is a valued part of our equipment.  It must be remembered that you are getting a wide cut mower for under a grand and for that you should not expect it to perform as well as a ride on costing 3 or 4 times as much.

When we had one on demo (at the same time as buying our Toro 53cm 22186TE's...) we found it good, but heavy (not a direct criticism). I was always amazed at their value for money (with the Timemaster/Domestic even more so).

I do think we expect more than some machines can deliver and can be too easy to blame the tools - not accepting in built faults etc

Like our 22186TE's, which were described as "finish&trim" mowers, when my guys steam in to  twice monthly cuts,  12" wet grass, they clog up and wonder why....

Right mower for right conditions for right sites - job sorted.

  • to me it looks to have rust under the deck

Wonder if certain people are trying to talk it down, while secretly bidding :) ?

Always thought we were all here to support each other..............
