Have recently purchased Bahco lawn edging shears, following great feedback from this Website.Could anyone now recommend the best tool sharpening kit for lawn edgers, gardens shears and secateurs.

  • I use a flat file for edging shears, grinder for half moon edgers, hedge trimmers and mower blades and small flat chainsaw file for secateurs.

  • Same as Dan, my cheap little bench grinder from Screwfix has worked fine for many years, and get's the kitchen knives good and sharp as well.


    I use a small, very fine, grinding stone on secs, and an oilstone if it needs the blade coming off for a proper sharpen every now and then.

  • vice, various files, an angle grinder and a steady hand for the bigger blades.
