When using strimmers, hedge cutters and chainsaws wear goggles/safety glasses. Why? I hear you say. I have spent the last 6 hours in A and E in agony with a major eye problem. Eventually it appeared that a splinter of "organic matter" had pierced my eye and the hole had become infected around the splinter. I wear normal glasses and a mesh visor and thought it was enough. I HIGHLY recommend safety goggles/glasses!

    Wow, A reminder to us all. To often have I seen guys strimming/brushcutting etc with no eye protection on. Or if they have it is usually a cheap pair of sunglasses.
