We have had an enquiry from one of the main contractors we do work for, they want us to construct a maintenance package including grass cutting and strimming. Are there any additional tickets we will require, at the moment majority of our work is hard scaping however this would add another string to the bow and grass cutting and strimming work is something all are competent on but we currently have 2 supervisors with gold cards and 2 managers with black cards. 1 digger driver card up to 13t tracked and dumper roller etc also.

Can someone point me in the direction of training other than pesticides you anticipate we could be asked to provide?

Many thanks

  • NPTC or Lantra based courses on chainsaws, brushcutters, competence of compact tractor/ride on mowers. Perhaps the correct licence for towing a trailer too?

  • PA1 PA6 weed spraying certificates?

  • I've never been asked for any Lantra/NPTC certs, just my PL insurance. Done a lot of commercial sites for retail, property managers, small industrial, private housing estate committees etc
