The UK's tallest hedge gets its annual trim

The UKs tallest hedge, on the Bathurst Estate in the Cotswolds has had its annual trim.

It took two men around 80 working hours using a cherry picker to cut back the 300 year-old yew hedge.

A tonne of clippings was taken off and sent off to be used in cancer treating drugs.

    Nice background music...Also wonder how long it used to take using shears!! Think I might have put on some ear protectors if I was doing that for 80 hours as well.

    more than likely the cutting for this big hedge were stolen from England like you did with the hallowed turf :-)

    Pmsl Mick, just so happens it was crowned in 1966 for being the tallest, for now it escapes me why that year is significant to some people, Im sure you will be happy to remind me though !!!!!!!!! :-)
