....and no, I'm not talking -stroke here!
I've come to know client's gardens by the distant and sometimes close sounds I hear around me. Week in and week out they resonate, sometimes timely and sometimes sporadically, depending on where I am.
Here are the examples:
A village road where there are six clients. The church is opposite and the bells ensure a good pace of work is kept throughout the day :->
A commercial client around the corner: the road noise drowns out the church bells but the Manor House grounds next door have a ready supply of pheasants plucking and crucking their familiar call.
The drone of traffic on the M40 at another property - despite it being three miles away.
The seemingly constant emergency services' sirens in Oxford City....and on Botley Rd the accompaniment sound of train drivers blowing their horn as they pull out of the station.

Car alarms in our car park, a seemingly never ending stream of helicopters, and recently a robin with a very unrealistic call.
Seriously, I was in a polytunnel this morning and was convinced it was somebody whistling, but only when the robin sat on top of the irrigation pipes and piped up again did I realise that it was just not a very good singer!
