It would be a great skill to be able to identify the different fungi and mushrooms to avoid the poisonous ones .
I did hear but don't know how common it is that some animals who inhabit forests and woodland eat fungi which causes them to hallucinate either intentionally or accidently .
Aware also that some artists use fungi such as the ink cap to make paint .
Definitely agree plants provide a natural source of healing aloe Vera , turmeric ,camomile I find beneficial .
Also some good playlists on this link .
I completely agree - the power of plants is incredibly interesting. I think a lot of the time it's hidden from us for financial reasons. I think also with the 'sustainability' trend at the moment, these things are being unveiled, as there is a market for it.
We used to go foraging for mushrooms when we were younger - although we did make sure to only pick the ones that were definitely safe. We used to look for what kinds of trees they would grow on to know whether they were safe or not. But from the Netflix documentary that I mentioned in my previous post, there really is a huge depth of science around it, but also groups of amateurs of mushrooms and fungi gather together to find them. It's a bit like bird watching!
