The LJN Covid-19 ‘Working’ from home thread

We move into unknown & unprecedented times, many in our industry will find business and the ability to get out an earn money reduced or removed.

Along with a potential for social isolations and 'lock-downs', we are likely to be restricted to 'working' from home which is impractical.

In that case what can we do ? First thoughts are to try and stay positive both physically and importantly mentally.

Let's use this thread & LJN for ideas to keep busy and minds occupied, such as;

  • ideas & processes
  • business support services & resources
  • best industry  books & videos
  • recommended online training resources
  • sharing experiences

ready for when we come out on the other side...

It's times like this where LJN becomes a key social, as well as an industry, meeting place.

Keep safe, keep occupied but don't feel alone out there ....

    We were talking yesterday (at a safe distance) with a client who is a GP.  She felt a total lockdown was both unlikely and unnecessary which of course would be very helpful.  However I suspect that will very much depend on whether people respect requirements for social distancing so I'm not so sure myself.

    Good idea to have a thread like this though if the worst happened but hoping we don't need it!

    If we do go into full lockdown mode (hopefully not & if yes hopefully not for too long...) I will spend some time getting to know my business software systems better. I use Xero and Jobber and there are a lot of features on both that I don't use because I have never taken the time to figure out how to use them!

      Good suggestion Gary, updated text details but it won't let me upload a new profile pic (Discovered after already deleting the old one Doh!) Anyone else have trouble?

      • PRO

        Will be either file type or size (unfortunately, it's quite prescriptive):

        Ideal size proportions for a profile photo are 72×72 pixels, but just about any image will work as long as it is a GIF, JPG or PNG image that is under 10 MB in size.
