TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Hi All,

Im seeking to create some strong ,no nonsense terms and conditions for my propspective clients to read and sign .

We are small Landscape garden build contractor and have recently been working in the murky world of Domestic/Commercial builders, architects and client. (We are used to contractor to home owner situation )

We have had the sore experince of having our schedule and spec turned upside down with very little protection from our side , in terms of reimbursment for lost time ,imposing fines for having to wait for the main building contractor and endless alterations to designs.

I have to admit ive been too naive about the whole thing , so i want to firm up by Ts&Cs and feel confident that when /if things get messy im covered.

Any advice from fellow contractors or pointers to refernces online for this kind of thing would be greatfully apprciated. Further advice on the imposing and following through on T&Cs in terms of solicitors, official documentation  etc would also be apprciated

Many Thanks

Nick

      I'll certainly have a look , thanks

  • For it to be watertight, this is a job for a solicitor, specialising in contract law,. Not a run of the mill high street solicitor!!! We did it years ago, if it's not done correctly it's too easy for the client or their solicitor to find ways of not fulfilling their obligations
