I would have said that is asking you to demonstrate how your QA and other documented working practices togehter with your site management and supervision will ensure you continue to meet the agreed standards over a long time period.
I always found it worthwhile to go straight back to those requesting you to tender with a phone call and a well thought out list of questions. This is a good start to building a relationship. If the request is genuine (rather than simply box ticking) they will be happy to help, after all, it is in their interest to get the best people at a competitive rate.
One tip I was told long ago, was that 'you landscapers are usually the last trade off site and the better your work, the better YOU work, with no fuss, the quicker we get our money signed off'. Landscaping is a very small part of project cost, but for the builder it can be so important - they will be happy to help.
totally agree Colin
Thanks so far for your help, but they want something written. It's like they want an introduction and why they should choose me.
In that case, a brief history of your business, mentioning previous projects and experience of similar work. If the work is commercial, I have asked previous Contract Managers if they minded me including them should the company need a third party testimonial. I would mention that you can provide RAMS when required and that you have Public Liability insurance, most want £10m, but you can easily up yours if necessary.
Agreed...Ed I would look for things in the tender that they want....then write paragraphs that show how your company delivers this, ideally using other clients as references (with their permission)
Anyone else able to help?
Someone must have some 'blurb ' I could pinch!? 😉
Some good advice above. Suggest you write something your yourself if you wanted to win the tender? It will also stand you in good stead for other tenders.
Hi yes totally agree with you ( and above) Definitely needs to be personal I've done just that, but I'm a bit worried when it states I've to limit my reply to 1000 words! Was looking for ideas to 'fill it out" ..for want of a better description!
you don't have to have 1000 words... as long as you've got say 250 you should be fine
