Tall hedges and ladders/platforms and steps

John in the office, said that we needed to provide risk assessments and method statements for the use of the above. 

I said that we probably wouldn't use steps and ladders and we would always use a platform but that's not always going to possible, so how does everyone else get over this problem.

I've got my IPAF and PASMA certificates

    I guess your insurance has exceptions adorned to it for certain heights. Johns not keen on Steps although, I've explained that we now have to purchase steps with hand rails and platform which form part of the maximum working height and points every time to a scaffold/tower. My IPAF runs out in October so I guess I'll be updated to new reg's
