Hi Steve
There are a few threads extolling the virtue of many different ride ons, best bet is see if you can get a demo machine & compare for yourself, we have an Iseki albeit an SGR if I had a criticsm of the machine it would be the chute for collecting gets clogged up, the SXG sorted that out by fitting a larger chute with no blower (less problems if something goes wrong) if we were to look to upgrade it would be an SXG (have demo'd it) collection in wet is first class, demo'd a G23 it cut well (didn't demo in wet grass so can't comment on that). End of the day it is a personal/financial choice , a lot of the people on here rate the Etesia ride ons once again can't comment on them as haven't used one, sure someone else will be along to give another opinion but as mentioned best bet is to demo machine!
I had thought about a Hydro 124D, but so very expensive here (18-20k €) - I have been happy with the G21, and the G23 now has a larger grass chute, so 'shouldnt' get blocked as often - I see you are on a Countax, how are you getting on with it?
Steve
TBH only used the Countax as it was a customers ride on a couple of years ago! It picked up well but certainly isn't as robust as commercial ride ons.
I was sold one in the early days over here as it being 'commercial' & it cost 7k€ - after about 17 hrs the drive belt went - its a 2hr trip to the dealer each way! After 50 hrs the roller caved in, after 54 hrs the gearbox went! I managed to get it to about 90 hrs and sold it in a year for 2.5k€ - lesson well and truly learned. The dealer didnt want to know about any problems after the gearbox. He even ignored recorded delivery letters from the Advocat, who then informed me that to get a specialist out would cost about 3-4k, just for a report, then perhaps a 5-7 year wait before it got to court! Quality machine my bum!
Sorry, had to rant, still gets my goat up after 4 years!
Steve
what was fixed on the kubota? i have a tg1860? thanks

I think the worst problem was with the power steering - it went bonkers and needed to be re-set, now I have a CD and it has the re-set on that. Steering joints replaced, belts and thats it really!
