PRO

I've had an email from an LJN member who is in urgent need of a supplier of herbaceous and hedging due to being let down by current suppliers. For obvious reasons of sensitivity they've asked me to ask the forum.

They currently have five projects on the go and need plants to fulfill their obligations.

If you can help by posting details of trade nurseries into this thread it would be much appreciated.

  • Try these www.britishhardwood.co.uk they may be able to help you out, they deal in the larger amounts.

  • Worth speaking to T&S one here. I would also recommend Palmstead. I'm sure both could arrange deliveries to Oxfordshire.

  • Gordon Catlin, Manor Farm Nurseries.

Manor Farm Nurseries Hellidon Rd Charwelton Northants, NN11 3YZ Phone: 01327 260285 Fax: 01327 263285

    Email: gordon.catlin@manorfarmnurseries.com

This would be fine for North Oxfordshire (it's a big county Phil...) they are just over the border in northants. Also the member must be trade because gordon, God Bless Him, won't sell to the public.

  • For hedging you could try ReadyHedge near Evesham 01386 750585.

Herbaceous try Springwood Nuseries near Bristol 01454 616110.

    Both good nurseries.

Another possible is Coles Nurseries in Leicester 0116 2412115, they operate a good source and supply nursery.

Also there is Pinder Plants who is an LJN member he also does a source and supply operation.

  • Do you have a list of what's required?

  • welland vale nurseries or coles nurseries

  • Thank you Jenny, very kind

  • Farnham Common Nurseries 01753 643108

Waterperry Gardens Nursery 01844 339254      (Oxford)

  • Second for Farnham Common if they are near enough, they are who I use. If it's a really big order it's worth me travelling to Rochfords, but it's pretty much a day's work with the travelling. FCN are very good as an everyday supplier, but without knowing the quantities needed I don't know if they would be big enough to help? Well worth a call though, I guess 30 mins drive from Oxford?

  • ORCHARD DENE NURSERIES in Henley-on-Thames

    Top range herbaceous and grasses!!

    Orchard Dene Nurseries,
    Lower Assendon,
    Henley-on-Thames,
    Oxfordshire RG9 6AG
