Suitable materials for a Victorian water feature

Richard Clegg is renovating a Victorian water feature and he has asked me to post this for him. "I am looking for a concrete product that will hold to rocks in a Victorian water feature. The concrete will have to be water and frost resistant. "It will have to bond to the rocks and create a waterproof seal without the use of flashing or liners. Is there a polymer type of concrete?"

not sure if this is the types of product you need.
had to do a light skim and a deeper repair on some concrete last week,i cant remember the name of the product, but it was added to the aggregate mix instead of water, and it turned into a pasty consistency, easy to work with, the liquid looked like pva glue, will check label on the morrow
  • Hi Phil

Another option Vandex bb7, this product can be used rendered on larger areas or thinnned with water an painted on for flexabiliy and intracut works.

Water based, can be painted over with colour of your choice

No water will penatrate in or out of the finished feature

About £55.00+vat for 25kg bag from Jewsons
    hope this helps
