Stone wall in a Lido

Got a new client I'm going to be doing weekly landscaping and maintenance for. It's an amazing big terraced garden. I have taken the job over from a bloke who there's been some kind of fall out with. He worked incredibly slow and rarely showed up.

at the bottom is a rockery that leads into what apparently is a Lido of some sort. The water is turned off at the moment as the job isn't finished. The end result they want is for it to fill up again and also have a water feature in the middle.

my question is- I was going to stone up round there perimeter, using mortor (like the empty fountain masonry in he middle) but I'm wondering if I would have to use a stiffer mix as it will be holding water? Or leave the perimeter wall as it is as it might look less unsightly when filled with water.

Other options or ideas are more than welcome.

thanks

  • Kit, I think you'll find there's more landscapers on a couple of the Facebook forums. One of them is 'professional landscapers gardeners and tree surgeons'.

    • Thanks for the heads up. I don't have Facebook but I'll have a look around elsewhere too.
