Villaggio Verde have had 7 specimen and rather unusual old Olive trees stolen on Monday 27th January at 12.30pm. The police suspect they were stolen to order. We need to find these wonderful and unusual forms as they were put aside for an RHS project. The street value is £10k The trees were loaded onto an open flat-bed 40ft artic trailer using a moffett (yes they brought their own fork-truck!) The trailer also has caged drop down sides and was towed by a blue Volvo 'Globetrotter' sleeper cab truck. The rig was unusual so any info about this vehicle or the trees would be very welcome. The trees could be anywhere in the country and as the trailer was open, if anyone had seen the 7 specimens on the back of this huge vehicle they would remember it. The trees could already be on a landscape project site or even planted!
