although i have had nothing stolen recently, i am glad to see the police making an effort to get stolen goods back to there rightful owners. around three years ago i had to retrieve my own goods which were stolen from my property, because the police said they didn't have enough evedence, even though i could see my own machines in someone elses livingroom from my own bed room. im not usualy a violent man but i had to pretend to be on this occasion. i forced my way through the well known theves front door made him sit on the firts few steps heding up the stairs and told him if he moved i would kill him. all this because the police said they didnt have enough evidence. i showed them my machines in his house from my window, they said they would investigate.i belived by the time they had "investgted" my machine's wich i had worked hard for would be long gone. not sure if i would have the bottle to do it again.
Don't know why they specify 6mths, and why can't they publish results or phone people who have reported thieft s in london ?
Hi Steve
Yes we have from I think Jan 2012 keep a record of all Stihl machines. and Hayters from 2010.
I'll ring them this morning.
hi justin
when you ring them and there is some etesia / pellenc stuff there i should be able to help there but to my knowlege ive not been told of any etesia/pellenc kit going missing for some time now
Wouldn't mind knowing also what type of property it was all located at? Maybe a property on wheels!
Seriously though, great news, this needs to be happening more often, hope they will be locking the thieving scum away for a while.
Spoken to them today, and someone will be calling me over the weekend. I just hope they take it serious and come and see me with the serial numbers.
Over the past year I've lost a lot of faith in the police, hopefully they will restore this.
