Stihl self feed strimmer

Hi I've had a Stihl auto feed strimmer 

I always have problems feeding the line in. I cut a length of line  with s sharp knife . Line the arrows up correctly then push either end in to the spool till they stopp. I then rotate the hub but quite often it only draws in one side in if that makes sense. It hard to hold the head rotate the hub and at the same time  to tell if its drawing both in or just one. Any tips
