Stihl Pressure Washers

I visited my local John Deere dealership which also sells Stihl equipment yesterday enroute home. I looked at the Stihl Pressure Washers and wonder if anyone got one or have any views on this. My cheapest Karcher one 'blew up' on me earlier this year. I mainly use it to wash my cars, vintage garden tractors and machinery and occasionally to clean off a couple of my customers' patios and paths. The Stihl models are RE119 (£250) and RE128 (£280) and are compete ell priced. I was struck by the solidity of them.Any feedback would be useful.

Sorry mate, must have missed this discussion, I used a Stihl pressure washer when they first came out, around 6-7 years ago now I reckon, tbh I'd always used Karcher but one of my clients purchased it and asked me to give it a go, not sure what model but it was 130 bar, it was no where near as good as the equivalent Karcher model but mainly because then you could not get all the attachment heads for the Stihl, it came with only one nozzle as standard, this may have changed though, but if not then another Karcher is the way ahead... Cheers
  • I'd say to keep with the experts..................... you wouldn't buy a Karcher chainsaw would you?!!

Aren't Stihl pressure washers a rebrand? They look a lot like the Niflisk ones just white and orange instead of blue.

  • Thanks for the feedback. The jury's still out on them by the sound if it.

Have the RE128 Plus not sure if that is the same model that you have seen, it is now over 3 years old & have had no issues with machine.

I suggest that you look at a manufacturer called Kranzle.

More expensive than other brands but worth the investment if pressure washing is your thing.

Look very nice. The colour is rather horrible though not that it really matters!

  • You want a cheap but efficient washer then go for nilfisk but personally id say still with Karcher as they can supply a complete range for your needs and if you empty them after use last for years

  • Thanks for the feedback; all very useful.
