Stihl say that the carbon bonding has failed. Has anyone else come across this ?
Good luck sorting this out I think three of mine have done this over the years.
I totally cocked one of them up trying to take it apart, tried hairspray (used to work on my bike handle bar grips) and gorilla glue with no joy, and finally drilled holes through and riveted them in to place.
Obvs this voids warranty and wouldn't pass muster if there was a pole saw accident.
I wish I had known this & bought the steel extension. No one mentioned it in previous discussions.
