We use Echo backpack blowers commercially and they get a hard life. The last one we replaced was 30 years old.
Run the PB770's for everyday use and the PB8010's for leaves. The 8010 is the most powerful blower available in the UK although there is a 9010 only for the US market which is slightly more powerful.
The 8010 is awesome and outperforms the Stihl equivalent by some way, Stihl produces 44 newtons, Echo 48 newtons etc. Think Echo offer 2yr pro warranty?
The Echo is not too heavy as it uses carbon fibre, buy one ! Can't comment on Echo customer service as never needed it!
thats strange the way the plastic has melted on one side. Wonder if something got jammed in there which caused the problem.
I agree with Graham Taylor - that damage looks very strange. We run an old BR 800 and it has served us well, though the valve clearances are now beyond adjustment and so we'll probably run it until it dies. But its a good 10 years old.
Pretty simple if it's in warranty they'll fix it if not go buy another. That's life
