    Better in the rain as less risk to transferring it onto paving IMO! Works after when wet....

    Just watch you do not walk off the lawn to paved are with wet boots, you will spread the iron and leave rusty marks.

    I prefer doing it when it's raining lightly or after rain as you get a bit of free water to help it work. You can never get near the recommended amount of water with a  knapsack.

    Rain is fine still works great, I think it works better when raining, Instant results.
