Never even heard of it! We learned from experience. I can now look at a patch of grounds and know how long that square will take to maintain. I have a grid system in my head and use a conveyance or site plan where I can, making a note of the time each area will require.
We then multiply that by the number of visits required, and then multiply that by our desired hourly rate.
Don't forget to factor in the time it take to collect and remove the green waste, and any tipping costs.
I've own two in the past. They are useful for reference there's is a lot of information in them. They're quite expensive. I wouldn't buy one again. What they contain you can just Google now. I found They can make pricing bit long winded. I use a similar method to Richards.
We have always relied on either " Bodgit and Scarper" or "Ripoff and Run" both excellent books.

I've looked at it in the past, and found some of the prices quite unrealistic. They seem to think that laying 1m2 of block paving costs 1/ 1000 of the cost of laying 1,000m2, and it doesn't.
