Spare parts Stihl

Hi I will ask my local dealer tomorrow but just wondering if I can get something quicker online. One of my guys managed to cut through the cable that connects the Sthil battery backpack to the hedge cutter! Anyone know where this could be got online? Cheers.

  • LS Engineers are really good and if they've got it in stock,  you'll get it in a couple of days. They hold a very large stock of spares. They'll also email you a parts diagram of the machine you've got if you ask so that you can identify the part number and then order it online from them. It will tell you then if its in stock or will need to be ordered which is usually very quick. . http://www.lsengineers.co.uk/

Ah thanks ordered it yesterday as need it asap. Quite annoyed at what Sthil are charging for that vs price of a tool. Going to be getting the bga100 and the cow horn strimmer at some point it better all work off the same cable or I won't be happy!

Thanks! I hope they are sending that then! I just told them cable that comes with ar900. It does detach from the black box like u say so hopefully the end bit is the right thing to connect the bga100.
  • Any decent electrician should be able to fix that for you for a lot less than £77 if you take it to him. You could do a reasonable job yourself with the right sizes of glue heatshrink and a soldering iron.

      Eekk not brave enough!
      • Well you can't break it any more than it is....

True. might see if anyone I know can fix it and keep as a spare as I don't have a soldering iron or a clue.
