Been asked to quote for 1000m2 of turf and the area needs to be filled in with around 250 tonnes of soil. Im fine for getting the turf sorted but any recommendation for soil suppliers ???

  • That's a lot of soil Matt.  Around 10" depth over the area?

If it's a job to price I'd look at getting some free/cheap screened skip waste soil for first layer and top up with 'real' topsoil ;)

10-15 wagon loads (depending whether 16/20t)

  • Yes, Sorry forgot to mention we have to remove about 120 tonnes as it is contaminated with Honey Fungus so we need 120 just to replace this, then the rest is to level off the remaining area. Any idea of price for good topsoil and cheap infill soil ? thanks matt
