slow self drive

Hi all,

I have an AL-KO 470 premium with a B and S 650 engine, I bought this about 4 years ago because I needed a side discharhe and mulcher for 2 jobs I do, it has never been the fastest especially compared to my Vikings but seems to be getting slower, I had it in to my dealer a couple of years ago and asked if they could do anything to increase the speed while it was in.They did and was a bit faster but about a year later it kept flying off the belt, often getting ruined by the blade ( i ended up demanding an original AL-Ko belt was put on FOC).

Then the gearbox went which wasnt cheap, I dont know if its me but in the last few months it seems slower, what I would like to know is can I increase the drive speed (some adjustment) and would this be why the gearbox went and could happen again.
