Are they one of the Chinese imports? Their price is pretty appealing...I think I eyed them up a few years back when in the market, but went for a second hand Kubota instead. Don't know anything about the Shires reliability etc, but the Kubota has been fantastic, and I would definitely do the same thing again,. In 4 years of pretty heavy abuse its not had one problem, but it's priceless to know parts are there where and when i need them. I bought a Flemming mower at the same time, and regularly have to get bits for that (as it takes an absolute beating, not because of build quality) and its a brilliant, professional next day service...virtually no down time - and all the support you need is on the end of the phone. If i were you I'd think seriously about a quality second hand machine from an established brand.
