Seth Godin: In pursuit of cheap

Charging the right price for your work is a question that often comes up on the network, and I thought of this when I saw this short piece from Seth Godin, the US-based entrepreneur and marketing expert.

He writes:

Once you decide to become a cheap commodity, all of the choices you made to be a non-commodity fall victim to your pursuit of cheap.

LJN has always tried to say quality counts, and that it has a value, although sometimes we can find it difficult to communicate this value.

People then get dragged down into price competition, without recognising that experience, ethics and being properly registered is something worth paying for.
I thought Seth Godin's piece might help give people the confidence to charge what they are worth.
And of course if you can add any advice or tips below it would be great to read your comments - I'm sure others would find them helpful as well.
