Second hand chipper

My son has just purchased a towable chipper from Ebay and is trying to work out most cost effective way of getting it from Somerset TA199 QR to North Ayrshire. Does anyone know of a reputable haulier in the somerset area ?

You don't have to get a haulier from Somerset - any lorry that does the job has to travel the same miles in a round trip. I would find someone local (Neil makes a good suggestion) and get a price - I bet hauliers will be competitive at the moment.
  • Contact Steve Blackie from http://www.747expressfreight.co.uk/ they haul the Safety Scene trailer for me, a great company and reasonable rates.

If you can be flexible in terms of dates...he may find you cheaper rates.
  • It's a heck of a drive, not a 1 day thing! 7-8 hours each way maybe? He should have planned this before buying it ;o)
  • Hi Phil,
Thanks for you input. As I said just looking at most cost effective way. One idea may have been to meet haulier half way then no overnight stay hence the reason for looking at hauliers in Somerset.
