Scarifier options

Following on from Tony's post last week about a new scarifer, I'm in the market for a better machine. I have an Einhell atm which has done me ok but it's had it's day.

I was looking at the Stihl as well but see the Stiga SVP 40 is about £60 less than the Stihl & seems to be more capable. Now I have also found the Toro 54610 which is the same price as the Stiga.

Has anybody any of these machines or advice on which is the better brand.

Cheers all & roll on spring.  Neil

  • I've got the Stihl in its previous incarnation as a Viking. Don't think there is much difference apart from colour. It has been a good reliable machine which is very capable on small to medium sized lawns. I think I've done up to 400sqm lawns with it. Don't bother with the box as you will fill it every couple of metres. No experience of others but I would recommend Stihl.
