You'd be better off getting a old Eliet or Camon scarifier on Ebay for sub £500. Just make sure its a Honda engine and the blades are in good condition, as especially with the Eliet, replacements are very expensive. If new, then we've been very happy with our Stihl petrol scarifiers so far. We paid around £500+vat for them.
Thanks Andrew. I'll be buying new. I'll look in to the stihl scarifiers. What model do you have and do they have enough ooomph?
RL540 and yes good performance.
Brilliant. I've just been looking at them. Around £540 so in the sweet spot of my budget. Thanks very much 👍
Dayum! Where are you finding one at £540? I'm seeing prices more in the region of £715...

Nice one. Thank you for sharing.
No probs. My pleasure. My machine arrived today. Very happy with it
£715 includes grass box. Rl540 good machine brought one in August. Perfect for the occasional user. Efficient machine. Could do with a swinging blade.
Grass boxes on scarifiers generally pretty useless in my experience, they tend to end up in the back of the shed. Either the grass doesn't have enuogh momentum to fill the box, or if it does it fills instantly.
