  • A 38 and a 42 are very similar, why do you need two almost the same size?

I run a Stiga Pwx 740 with a 100cm [about 39 inches] deck. It is four wheel drive and mulches. I use it on many sites including a trading estate. It is superb in churchyards, very manoeuvrable and will climb steep banks. The finish is perfect. I also have a John Deere Z535m [48 inch deck] which I use on playing fields and some other work. It is side discharge and is very fast. You can also get a mulching kit for it.

My advice is don’t collect, mulch. Both of my machines I would recommend. I am though looking at getting something like a John Deere 1580, just to cover the ground even faster.

Here is an example of the finish the Stiga leaves -
