I would defiantly recommend doing a show. In 2012 we put in a design (myself and 5 fellow mates from college) having got through the selection process with relative ease we then went on to design, build and project manage the garden, and then won a silver gilt at RHS Chelsea (along with Gold and Best in Show at Gardening Scotland in 2012). This year we are also hopefully doing another garden at Chelsea and Gardening Scotland.
While I did not get any commissions at the show, having the awards really does help when promoting yourself and getting new clients.
If you want any help or have any specific questions about exhibiting etc. (I have been involved with gardens at Chelsea and Hampton) feel free to send me a direct message.
That looks great john. i would love to be involved in that show.. I have a few idea's and concepts that will fit well together but I'm yet to put them down on paper.
Will i still have time to do this? and shall i email jenny about taking part?
thank you for your help both of you. I'm really keen on doing this.

Thank you for your help
Hi John - your enthusiasm is infectious! I hope it doesn't rub off too easily :->
May I ask what the costs are - in total - for creating such spectacles and what ROI is available, please?
I appreciate 'showing' isn't the be all and end all - there's longer term exposure - just intrigued as to how the downtime in running a business can deliver bottom line when you have a whole garden to create and dismantle, with all costs included.
Cheers, Eugene
