Retained Firefighters needed

Slight tangent I know however.... you may not be aware that in many regions of the UK there is a desperate need for part time retained Firefighters.Most small local Fire stations are run by paid retained Firefighters who get to the station within 5 minutes of a shout (pager goes off run, drive asap) A lot of people in our line Gardening etc work locally and already fit enough to join up. I am in the process of training and can say there are A lot of crossover skills they teach that will benefit my Gardening business e.g first aid, using cutting equipment, working at heights.safe 4x4 driving etcYou get paid a small monthly retainer then per training session or call out, you can book off as unavailable if going out of area. Check out your local Fire station they may be desperate for new applicants.
