Replace a lawn

So the lawn was originally planted on a gravel bed. The client wants a beautiful green sward of turf.

My idea is to remove the top 6 inches of soil, put down a barrier, to stop the stones rising, refil with screened topsoil and add turf.

If we dont put the barrier down the stones will just come straight through the new soil and we'll need to do it all again in a few years.

What are peoples thoughts?

Thank you.

  • I would sugest removing the gravel, then, bringing in  a decent topsoil and turfing over the top properly
