With just 32 sleeps until the big day I'm starting to think toward Christmas (and beyond as I know the spring won't be too far behind).
When I ran my landscaping and garden maintenance company, Christmas was always the only time of year I felt I could switch off from work long enough to become really mentally relaxed.
The reason being was it was the only time - I told myself - that my clients would not expect me in their gardens.
Although, having said that, we had a large town council grounds maintenance contract where we had to provide 365 day cover for services such as litter collection (it's surprising how many people visit parks and recreation grounds over Christmas).
I'm digressing.
LJN has been going for a long time now and many friends have been made. There are many members who have forged relationships and meet up regularly or at least chat using IM.
Using the site to get to know those close to you is a great way of forging friendships and business relationships.
Mick and Kerry have recently arranged a meet-up in Birmingham in 15 December 2012 (two in fact as they are staying over with their wives).
Chris is also arranging a meet-up in Northern Ireland (Sat 5 January 2013)
I raised the possibility of French meet-up yesterday too.
Obviously either of these three separate events might be too far for you to contemplate so why not arrange a meet-up close to you?
I've now met lots of LJN members via different meet-ups around England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It's a really great way to get to know others. It's very informal and there's nothing intimidating to worry about.
You can either set up a page on the forum or as an event.
Don't forget to promote it though.

I look forward to things slowing up in winter so I can attempt some business development. I'd very much like to meet others in my area BRISTOL to chat about business strategies, suppliers, prices, customers to avoid, tool pools etc. Thanks LJN
Chris
Would be up for curry in Glasgow if I can make whatever date you decide!

So we have a potential curry night in Glasgow and a potential meet-up in Bristol.
Chris, can you suggest a location and we'll see if we can drum up interest.
I'll do a round-up of potential meet ups in this week's newsletter.
Great idea Phil, thanks for bring the subject up, I don't think that I'm going to have time to meet up with anyone before Christmas, but perhaps in the New Year, always good to share thoughts with people in the same line of business.
