I use the mulching blade just start the top and work it down and most of the brash just disappeares so much less clearing up and it will take down most stuff under 2" and is fantastic on brambles.
Yup. Shredder knife kit (with the big guard) all the way.
You only need to tickle the throttle to keep the momentum up. Don't rev the tits off it, it doesn't need it.
I have a three pronged mulch blade by Oregon that I've yet to try.
3 pronged blade shunned by myself and 5 others I worked with, we all thought it'd be the business, less likely to jolt etc but sadly not a patch on the Stihl or husqvarna ones

Erm, many. Mostly down to the rating of the blade. There are circular saw blades avaliable for the fs460 that are rated for the forces and power of the engine.
