Recent Police activity in the Surrey / Hants area

Interesting feedback from Surrey Police, regarding recent theft activity: 1/ "Local PCSO and PC heard a report of some plant that had been stolen in Surrey Heath (that’s machinery not flowers) towed by a 4x4 so they headed to some fields near the Coxbridge Roundabout (A31) as we had heard it might be a storage place for stolen plant. Well lo and behold the 4x4 and the plant were only in that very field! Two males jumped in a van, smashed through a gate nearly hitting the police car and made off but not before my girls recognised one and got the van reg. Both males have been arrested and enquiries are ongoing. Funnily enough we have had no more plant thefts!" 2/ "It’s not often in your career when you find yourself following a stolen vehicle but this happened to one Hampshire officer on the Odiham Road when checking the details of the speeding van in front of him. The van had been taken one hour previously from Shortfield Road in Frensham, Farnham. Two opportunists must have seen a work man drop the keys to his van. Both people have been charged with theft of motor vehicle and we are awaiting court results. Thanks Hants Police" Nice to see the low-life's being caught.......and hopefully suitably dealt with...
