one of my customers has an esse multfuel fireed on wood or coal. They rave about it - not sure if thats relevant - i guess from your description its gas your looking at?
Thanks David, wood fired sounds lovely but it think it would be a beast of burden. Looking at either gas or electric. Thanks again for your feedback everything I've read about the Esse sound good.
My parents have an electric Aga. Mum has it programmed so that it goes to 'sleep' from 7pm and there is still enough reserve heat inside it to boil the kettle later on in the evening. It 'wakes up' at 5.30am and is ready for breakfast. Seems to work well, and it easy enough to reprogram. Think it works off a 13amp plug as well. Only issue is that the electric bill is higher than average, but guess you would be consuming more oil or gas for which ever fuel you go for.
