They all break after 12/18months. The last pair I had was sthil Bluetooth. They were good but don't have as good noise excultion as husqvarna all expensive
I use husqvarna standard ear defenders with cheap in ear phones at £10 a pop in expensive no worries about battery.
I am subscribed to spotify because no adverts and poor signal. I listen to music, audio books and podcasts.
I use a pair from Amazon called Protear. They've lasted me for years, but i don't think they've got the best at decibel protection. Mine are just Bluetooth because I use BBC Sounds & download loads of music & comedies & podcasts to my phone.
I have had a pair of Stihl Dynamic Bluetooth ear protectors since 2020, which have been used every working day since. Survived out in rain, snow and being pulled off my head crawling through undergrowth etc. Still working like new, and battery last forever on a charge. 100% recommend.
Thanks all, so far. I think I will need DAB radio as where most of my jobs are (one of the richest parts of Surrey) is a bloody awful signal on all networks, so doubt if I would pick up spotify or sounds via my phone.
I looked at the Protear on Amazon, I hate buying from there, & quite a lot of reviews are bad. So I am still undecided.
You could download podcasts and music onto your phone at home (on Spotify or similar), and then use Bluetooth headphones to listen while working. This means you don't have to worry about poor reception and data dropouts etc. This is what I do, with thousands of tracks and loads of regular podcasts to listen to.
I use these but it does rely on having the phone Bluetooth to listen to the radio via my mobile network rather than DAB+.
some places at work have given the WiFi so can always get signal

Also use Jabra ear buds with noise cancelling if using electric as opposed to petrol machines.
Hi
I ware the Stihl bt ear deffenders. They are about £70 and worth e ery penny. They fit neatly over a baseball cap but rubbish in the summer when a large rimmed hat is required sometimes. You can still tell when your machines are running and hear resistance in them . They also deter the public from coming up and asking questions.
I handle them with are and keep the ear pice very clean as in daily. The buttons that operate the bt aspects are good but the internal part is not very robust so try and avoid placing them where other tools can press against them
I wouldn't be without them try Buxtons for a good price.
Don't buy cheap buy quality
I use Stihl BT Dynamic ear defenders. I would recommend them. I've had them for around 5 years. Really good sound. The battery lasts for weeks and I have music on all the time. The visor hinge is the weak point and tends to break in the same place every time. Buying the visor with the headphones only adds a small amount to the price, but when bought as spare parts become considerably more expensive.
My husqvarna x coms on my helmet have just packed up after 2 years. Trying some from Screwfix as they are much cheaper. They keep me sane, I listen to podcasts and the radio. Got some Stihl defenders for mowing and some summer hedge cutting although I prefer to wear a helmet for strimming and hedge cutting.
