Quoted annual maintenance contracts

Hi all

I have been running a garden maintenance business for about three years and so far all my contracts are on a regular hourly rate basis.

I am keen to convert these into quoted annual contracts paid by the customer via standing order on a monthly basis over 12 months a year. I just wondered if anyone had any experience in running their business this way and how it works?

do the customers query paying for a reduced service over the winter months?

Do you price for the maximum time spent on site per visit or an average over the year?

Also if anyone has an example contract i could look at i would be very grateful as i am not really sure how to word such a contract.

Tanks in advance

Alex

  • This has been discussed very fully recently, I am sure someone more genned up than me will tell you where to find it.

Will just reiterate what I have said elsewhere - i'ts the way to go, works brilliantly, you are the boss, more flexibility, 90% of customers prefer it and it's a big step to running a more professional business. Good luck Alex.

  • Hi Alex

Drop me an email at info@groundlevelgardening.co.uk since I think I would be able to help you on this occasion.

As mentioned previously, Pro Membership of LJN is a good place to start to discuss this with other like minded practitioners.

    Cheers, Eugene
