No - it's a bank holiday!
I'm working. Sole trader.
To much hedge cutting and scarfing to do.
Had Easter of that's enough. But if I had staff dam right I'd be off.
Its a Bank Holiday - a day to rest and watch the tv coverage. (I have had a few customers message as normal with tasks for mondays visit, they must be expecting me)
To me personally it would feel a bit inappropriate turning up as per usual, like visiting on Christmas Day morning to do some work ! But it depends on the area and customer type, I suppose. I usually work every weekend and bank holidays, either gardening or in my other side line. But the day will not be wasted as I have large lawns to cut at an isolated property of a close, absent relative. And combine this with family time as kids off school etc. Maybe even a small bbq. Basically keeping out of the way until it's all over. I doubt some clients and their neighbours would appreciate the intrusive droning sound of garden machinery whilst the actual funeral itself is on
Will be working all day
I think it could look a bit disrespectful to turn up so called the monday regulars to check and all but one wanted to give it a miss......
been a lot of bank holidays this year!
Nope not working Monday. Didn't think it's a good idea to, so worked late today and will do same Tuesday.
Each to there own though
i think it will be a bit disrespectful it has been made a bank holliday because of the queens funeral and a majoraty of people will be off work so they can watch it without mowers or hedge cutters reving away
do the same as our bin men are doing make everithing a day late in the week
Messaged all my customers for Monday and all are happy to go ahead so I will be working
I worked yesterday so will take tomorrow off. Tbh I could do with a rest even though I have plenty of work on, I haven't had a holiday this year. If I had chosen to work I would be doing a quiet job, wouldn't want to annoy folk with noisy machines running.
