IOG Saltex review 2013

As you probably know by now, Landscape Juice is all about the practitioner.

In our view, what the practitioner says and thinks is more important (and more powerful) than PR.

That's why we want to hear from you....... straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.

If you are planning to visit Saltex this week then why not submit a review for publication on Landscape Juice?

We will publish all the reviews and the top four will all receive a £25.00 Amazon Gift voucher.

We went to Saltex yesterday on the first day on the premise it is typically the best day. The weather did not disappoint as those who have attended in previous years 'downpours' will testify.....

We arrived at lunchtime, grabbed a bite and a drink and set off looking around.

    Observations;
    - less exhibition space in use (the 'far' area over by the river was being used for exhibitors parking)
    - smaller stands for many major exhibitors
    - hard to asses if there where more stands
    - some major brands using Dealers to display their products rather than be there themselves
    - relatively quiet (we arrived at lunchtime, so initially thought this may be the cause)
    - Looked in on a Seminar and was, again very quiet. However, it was just after lunch and very hot/muggy so I guess people preferred to be outside.
    - No big '"wow - must have one of those'" type of products. however a very subjective view as it depends on your market place and depth of wallet.
    - Spoke to a number of Dealer /contacts I know and all were looking forward to see if tomorrow (Wednesday) would bring visitors in.
    - Comment also made that many, many less Government/LA present - reflecting state of economy and their cut backs.
    - Also very few 'Students' or Brochure collectors. Other years, they would be quite noticeable.

We achieved what we wanted to do, checked out a few machines etc that we want / maybe need (however we would always follow up our 'wish list' at a local Dealer rather than buy on the day unless £££ discount offered ;-) and left sometime after 3pm. Car park was quiet at this time as well.

Accept the above is a subjective, personal view but echo'd by my Supervisor.

    Anyone else attend ?
