Poole men 'plotted to cut down tree for sea view'

The owner of a Dorset auction house told a tree surgeon to cut down a protected tree to improve the sea views from his property, a court has heard.

Neil Davey, 51, of Davey and Davey Auctioneers, allegedly paid Thomas McGuire, 34, to fell the maritime pine in his neighbour's garden.

From picture and comments it appears it was not a good 'take down' as well......

Bet he loses his ticket now !!!!!!!!
  • views of the sea are money, tree felling for the views is so prevalent here in Poole, it would add 50K or more and it goes on a lot here.

  • I detest people like Neil Davey. If found guilty he should be severley punished.

  • We have a tree with a preservation on it in our garden, its too close to the property so it will have to be cut back but not removed completely.

I'm not for cutting trees, I'm against if it has a preservation order on it

  • Doesn't it 'p' you off when you read stories like this and they call the guy a 'Tree Surgeon'.  Rather like the all too familiar 'Landscape Gardener Preys on Elderly' stories.
