Morning all,
I’m Matt from That Pond Guy, a specialist pond maintenance company based in Burham, Kent. I’ve just joined LJN and thought I’d introduce myself.
We cover Kent, London and the wider South East, looking after everything from garden wildlife ponds and koi ponds to larger natural ponds and lakes. Most of our work involves cleaning, regular maintenance, repairs and filtration upgrades, although we also build ponds and carry out relining and fibreglassing.
I came across an older discussion here about finding someone to manage a pond in Maidenhead. It got me wondering how the gardeners and landscapers on here generally handle pond work for their clients.
Do you include basic pond care in your regular maintenance visits, or tend to bring in a specialist for things like larger cleanouts, leaks and filtration work? It would be interesting to hear how others approach it.
I’m happy to chip in with pond advice if anyone gets a question from a customer or comes across something they’re unsure about. Photos of the pond and equipment are usually a good starting point.
Our website has a bit more about us and some examples of our work:

Looking forward to getting to know people on here.
Cheers,
Matt
