I store mine in trays on newspaper in a dark shed - they will keep for about 10 days like this, I tend to cook them all up and jar them for use in pies and crumbles over winter.
Best to get on and cook them. As David says, they won't last long even in the best storage conditions. Cook the whole lot and freeze them!
